FAQ
Answers to common questions about turtledeck.
Is there an onboarding tour?
Yes — new users get a short interactive tour on their first deck, covering typing content, nesting bullets, inserting an image, adding a slide, and presenting. Replay it anytime from Settings → "Take the tour."
Does turtledeck have dark mode?
Yes, toggle it from the settings popover on the dashboard or in the editor.
What are slide labels?
An optional purpose label shown on each slide (e.g. "Situation," "Argument 1"), automatically suggested based on the slide's section and position, and editable per slide. Toggle their visibility from Settings → "Slide labels."
Does undo/redo persist across sessions?
No — undo history (up to 100 steps, covering both slides and sections) resets when you reload the page. Your actual deck content is autosaved separately and does persist.
Can I duplicate a deck or a slide?
Not yet — there's no duplicate action for decks or individual slides today.
Can I reorder sections?
Not from the interface yet — sections are ordered by when they were created.
Does turtledeck work well on mobile?
Yes — the editor, theme customization, and sharing all work on mobile, with the slide list becoming a swipeable carousel and Tab-based indenting replaced by on-screen chevrons.
Is there real-time collaboration?
Multiple people can have access to a deck and see who else is around via avatars in the header, but there's no live multiplayer editing with real-time cursors — changes sync through each collaborator's own autosave.
